Maybe I'm mistaken, but it often feels like a lot of anons (not just in this thread) boil down their favored characters into the same thing. Like you could take any pony, slap a big ass/tits/cock/whatever on it, and say "this is my wife" and they'd all be interchangeable. Like the character ceases to be anything more than a palette-swapped set of horny bits.
And I kinda get that. Back when I barely cared at all for canon characters, I was fine with whatever hypersexual interpretation there was for them, because I just wanted to look at ass. But none of those characters were characters I cared about. As I've grown more attached to certain characters, the sexual stuff has taken a major backseat with them. Like it kinda makes sense to me, in a way. With real people, one of the first things you notice about them is whether they're attractive or not, and that first impression matters less the more you get to know them.
And that's why I find it strange. If a character is your absolute favorite, your "wife", even, then why do you treat them as if they're identical to every other hypersexual interpretation of every other character in the show? All this horny talk would be exactly the same if you swapped the names of the characters, if you tabbed into any other waifu thread. Surely there's more there, right?
