You may not like it, but they (the creators), shall continue milking it until eventually they get bored and let the characters start doing matrix shit and just leave the simulation/make the final reveal. Writers have left just enough ambiguity they can write it in a couple different directions, but I imagine they'll paint themselves into a corner sooner rather than later here, 'less the writer is actually that fukken good.
