I've let the AI take the reins. I know I've got the body of a Pegasus, so I'm pony in that reguard. However, my magic is spread between two worlds. This has manifested in magic acting in weird ways around my character, to the point where we accidentally de-polarize magic into two base energy types; Light and Dark. Pegasus magic doesn't work as intended, and subconscious thoughts and desires alter any effects. Basically, it has been a lesson about control and workarounds.

I'm interested with keeping tabs with your character's progress. Respect to you for your decision to keep detailed rules on alchemy.
