Kateryna decided to serve together with her husband, Yevhen, in the same unit of the 13th Khartiia Brigade. She is a signaller, and her husband is a gunner-operator of an IFV.

She shared that after Yevhen went on the first combat mission, she decided to be close to him and be useful in the army.
