a couple of threads ago, i asked for recommendations on movies about japan but made by foreigners. someone mentioned Tokyo-Ga (1985) by wim wenders. it was very good, made me want to rewatch some ozu films. it also reminded me of the show How to with John Wilson, but slower paced and more meaningful. someone else mentioned Walk, Don't Run (1966) and that was enjoyable too. both movies had great shots of an older tokyo. i still have My Geisha and You Only Live Twice on my list of things to watch.
thank you anons for the recs. give more if you can.
