hey, sue me, i know what I like. Every so often i find a new way of approaching/articulating it.

At least this time im trying to articulate a style thats a little more broad than just sneakers, a lot of other shoes can work for this, especially half-dressy work/milsurp boots like solovairs or austrian memeboots

won't lie, the inspirations here are indeed mostly white and anglocentric, but I'm not gonna say its only for whites, its for anyone it speaks to, really

lately it feels like menswear has become something of a meme, where all discussion and aesthetic flows downstream of brand-oriented cargo cults and religious adherence to either pure period dress or a homogenized "mediterranean-inspired" professionalist prescriptivism. Its become incestuous, theres very little room for inspiration or expression outside of that, its seemingly only for people whos only thing about themselves they can really "say" with their style is "i am an urban professional with disposable income who is into this general style" and nothing else. nothing aspirational, countercultural, or offbeat, because the people who would, or could come at it from such an angle can't penetrate the bubble. I'm trying to paint a picture of a style that deliberately decouples itself from all that, in spirit and in process
