Loads of Europeans are bothered by the genocide and want their governments to stop it with sanctions and Israel visa revocations, but the governments instead do the symbolic bare minimum to make it look like they care (plans to recognize Palestinian statehood in a month).
I've heard the German ambassador to Israel is always concerned about making sure the daily massacres stay under 100 people per day because that gets too much attention.
