You know, this reminds me of the fact that Lucy--after all the horrible shit they've done to each other--ultimately never cared about Mike's percieved role in her suicide attempt. Oh, sure, Lucy made certain to guilt trip him over her krazy ketchup kerflop. But after finding out she had always been First Chosen of the Scarf, everything else was just water under the bridge. In Another Flame, Lucy jumped right back in until Paulo and Daisy reminded her she was still supposed to be mad at Mike. The only thing Lucy has truly ended up giving a damn about was Mike having Sandy in his life. It's what Lucy bitched about when she turned down his apology (which at the time I thought was just her shitty fake excuse to mask the real reason), and it's what she cried over after failing to rape Augustus. She wouldn't even talk to Mike until after Sandy dumped him and it was discovering that Lucy had "won" the Mike Bowl years ago that flipped her switch. For some unfathomable reason, Lucy ranks Sandy above her own misery-induced suicide attempt, and the story never treats this hangup like it's batshit insane. Which means that Taeshi considers it to be perfectly legitimate.

This is all a really long-winded way of saying that I think Mike's exile from the table will make little to no sense if you're a normal person. The reason we'll be given is going to be an extremely Taeshi-specific heaping helping of BPD brand Mald-O-Meal that replaces any semi-logical drama with the dumbest most petty shit you've ever seen.
