When you realize that /g/ is full of stimulus->neuron activation cockroaches who just regurgitate everything they see on YouTube/Twitter/Reddit/Orange Reddit, it makes a lot more sense.
For example, I'm not subscribed to Ate Shit Guy, but I do watch his videos. So when I see an uptick in /g/ posting "45-year-old-texas-computer-geek-running.gif", I know he has a new one out.
