Evernight's kit got assasinated because Phainon and the Fate event "pull 200 times" thing sold better than expected. They know the playerbase will spend on Cerydra for him (but not too much as to hinder Cyrene's sales, so they gave her a free event 4* LC), for that reason, they've made March's kit a complete dogshit skip and Dan3 literally free so as an Express Pass player you get around 110 pulls in 3.5 (80-90 f2p) from zero. Enough to get 1 Cyrene if lucky, or pushing you to spend to guarantee her. Cyrene's banner lasts 42 days, so you can build up another 80 pulls for her LC. And if you fail the 50/50 you get forced to spend yet again.

It's all calculated. Hoyo even knows what your story dialogue options are. It's obvious they have a crazy amount of internal data so they can make the best banner financial decisions. Cyrene is the first Elysia expy ever released in a main Hoyo game. She's literally a Raiden Shogun 2021 banner historical event kind of deal. I'm 100% sure Hoyo has been carefully crafting the banner patches since even before Amphoreus released to push Cyrene's sales to astronomical lengths.

March died so Cyrene could sell (better). I wouldn't put it past Hoyo to make Cyrene's kit the "solution" to all of the new March problems that arised during V3, lol. You rike?
