>I owe her my life and I plan on spending everything i make for the rest of my life, making hers better.
You're one of the real ones and a real family man which is a rarity in today's society. The status quo used to be that parents would give everything to care for their children because children are fragile and can't care for themselves. When the parents got old and too fragile to care for themselves the children returned the favor and that love right back to them. When Americans still owned land and had homesteads this was a naturally occurring concept everyone understood but the Industrial era that ripped everyone from their homes, flung them into the cities and brought the idea that everyone needed to move out when they were 18 and "make it on their own" has had catastrophic results on both society and human empathy towards their own flesh and blood.
It's comforting to me to see that people like you still exist.
