The truth is people want to do whatever the fuck they want, and since right-wing values like unity, identity, disciplinary action, hierarchy and competition are part of the natural world just like how leftist values (cooperation, social inclusion etc.), the more you try to reinforce "good behavior" excluding alternatives, the more society feels the need to break the rules, it's a rediscovery after all.
