I like 4chan for its format and the ease of sharing neat images and videos, and I like some of the dark humor, but 4chan has serious issues. I don't think that being a safe haven for uncouth schizophrenics is in any way what makes it special, and I would welcome account registration and a sweeping policy and moderation overhauls in order to clean up the boards. I have no confidence that it will ever happen, so I won't be heartbroken when the site's gone.
