I need to ask people for things and I feel ashamed.
They told me if I get a doctor's note for some bullshit I could drop some poor grades from 2018-2020. A doctor's note for whatever mental illness. I could try, there is a good chance I would get it. But I'm ashamed to even ask. I don't believe in that, in medicalizing deficiencies and using them to dodge responsibility. My only responsibility is to get an education though. I wasn't trained for anything else, I put all my effort into good grades and I got them until I got to college and I didn't know what to do so I failed some classes for the first time in my life and I'm still penalized for it

How do I stop feeling so ashamed? I need to ask some psychiatrist I haven't seen in 5 years for a note and I can't do it
