I wish a “live and let be” mentality had no consequences. I wish we could live on our little islands. It’s sort of like folks who like free speech. They like it until they define what constitutes harmful speech and then expand that definition to control your speech.

The new crop want your story to be told a specific way. They want your gaming developers to make specific rules and considerations. They want to drive traffic away from the indie scene. They’ve replaced folks who were passionate about this with…. Darrington Press. They want you to wear safety pins at GenCon. Being a Grog isn’t just a silly insult, it also means you are racist and transphobic. Young gamers are being inculcated in “habits” originating from Brennan Mulligan and Aabriya Ayengar. I wish it didn’t matter and used to think this. Then I grew up.
