You're missing the point. Mainland Chinese culture is heavily influenced by the various invader dynasties that formed China and its history/culture. Clothes are a big part of that. You are arguing China defined the Kimono like Chinese were the originators of their clothes. Mainland Chinese are using another cultures clothes itself.
