moot moved /l/ to the not4chan domain to avoid webhost issues and he continued to link to the /l/ board on the board list frames for a few more years. the /l/ board was eventually taken down not because of hosting or legal issues but because moot had a personal falling out with the moderator saber and he nuked all of saber's boards including /l/.
