I remember one time taking the bus and some autistic guy in the back had a big illustrated book of trains, and everyone sitting around him started talking to him about what his favourite ones were and he wound up lecturing a bunch of strangers while pointing at big print outs with a huge grin on his face. must have been the best day of that retard's life.

also people used to hang out at the corner shop when buying newspapers, cigs or lotto tickets and everyone would chat with each other and the cashier while waiting in line. some guys would spend hours just chatting with the clerk and randos in the store
