Everybody, what is the point of THE GARBAGE QUARTZ!?

The Garbage Quartz are like ATS+12 or DEF+30.

Used to be DEF +12%, ATK -4% or something like that. Used to make sense. Challenging in a way but adjusting to the character's growth.

Now it's like character has 1220 DEF, here's another 30. cool. Who needs this?
