Zoro cut all of Kaido's attacks down short of the one Big Mom helped him with, Ocean sovereignty which broke his bones, then stood up and 1v1'd Kaido directly clashing against his club before scarring him. He lacked the damage output and immediately went and fought King who he couldn't draw blood on despite just scarring Kaido, then gained King of Hell and cut straight through King's strongest attack, blade, wing, and scarred his chest all at once. Zoro was already strong enough to go against Kaido and stop all his attacks and just lacked the power to do anything more than scar him, then got the power to do way more cutting damage against King.

Bonney has a Gear 5 herself and can do the same shit Luffy did.
