Steed of Shadows is not just Spectral Steed but worse and Unseen Lurker is not Arcane Urgency. Both of these spells allow you to make a charge, which is something you can't do with conveyance spells in TOW because you cast them during the remaining moves sub-phase. You should also be comparing it to Infernal Gateway. Pelt of Midnight is situational, but you're smoking crack if you think making a unit significantly harder to hit during the shooting phase is useless. Pit of Shades isn't a vortex, it works like a magic missile spell, it has an infinite range, and moving at half speed is a lot more impactful than you make it out to be.

Fair, that spell is actually really cool. Shame casting it is so mind-numbingly boring.
>TMP
As was mentioned previously, a notable, but welcome, exception, but if you want to bitch about broken spells you don't get to say nice things about TMP. I've experienced firsthand what old TMP could do. Not fun.
>miasmic mirage
Good spell, very powerful. Worthy of being the 6th spell of its lore. Real shame you cast it in exactly the same way you'd cast any other spell, making it feel like any other hex.

Is it strong? Sure, especially if you're playing at a tournament. Is it impactful? What even is your definition of impactful? Game-winning? Memorable?
>phantasmagoria
Sure, it's good. Real shame the rest of the lore sucks so hard that nobody ever picks it.
Also, it's extremely gay that illusion and elementalism have four out of your five super impactful spells. Not all armies have access to these lores. But, I'll concede, not all spells in TOW are bland and boring in and of themselves. Just most of them, and also all of them, because casting these spells doesn't feel impactful. In summary, TOW magic sucks and I don't like it! 2d6+mod, bleh. Disgusting! And you cherrypicked spells and I think that's gay too, which makes you gay.
