This person is a bit wrong here. THE Chinese line uses a male pronoun. The thing is, you can interpret as Pierro making a generalization that's supposed to be gender neutral(the "he" pronoun can be used this way) or as he actually meaning the deity is male. It's much easier to assume the first because the word for deity Pierro uses is gender neutral. I haven't checked the jpn dialogue though.

It's gonna depend on how desperate genshin's dev team is. I think it's hard to measure this because the devs can easily assume Columbina is enough to attract players and feel like they don't need to do anything else.
