it's happening too fast to be survived, plummeting below the UN "low fertility" projections and similar ones, which is a calculated low-mark that humanity must remain above in order to continue its sleepwalk towards neo-feudalism (kings=CEOs). over the next century we will slide further down with collapsing economic systems and "hard decisions" that murder millions of require-assistance people out of necessity.
based on this truth, my guess is we will technologically slide back to the industrial revolution, using home-grown factories with substandard labor practices and widespread desperation just to manufacture basic goods when international supply chains have collapsed.
