Adding stinging insult to crippling injury, Super Sentai can't catch a break. Apparently the female main character (black ranger)'s actress Maya was caught having multiple affairs with cast members throughout the show production. Toei chose to gloss over that and terminate her for underage drinking, lol.

>We received a report from Maya Imamori's agency regarding her underage drinking. Our company takes this matter very seriously. From the perspective of ensuring strict compliance, we have decided on the following measures.
>Termination of Contract and Withdrawal: We have discussed the termination of the appearance contract with Maya Imamori with TV Asahi and will withdraw her from ‘Number One Sentai Gojūger’.

Literally the *only* cool character in the show, the wild & assertive female black ranger, is suddenly being axed from the entire show. It seems they are going to kill off the character off-screen or something, because her termination appears to be immediate, and they've already stalin-style scrubbed her from the website and everything (rude!)

Looks like the final season after 50 years is going out with a writer's room collapse and production whimper.
