>Know from the games that mechs can't detect and shoot down small recon drones, at least at the time of the clan invasion (no laser AMS yet)
>The AMS they do have has about 250m range and shoots 4 missiles per second
>They can't intercept artillery
>JDAMs are basically guided artillery, by the way
>Know that a "trinary" is just 15 mechs
>Know that mech weapons top out at 2000m
Your opposing force will be Carrier Strike Group 5 of the US 7th Fleet. Normally it's comprised of 12 ships and 75 f-18 aircraft, with the USS George Washington as it's flagship.
>I'm also swapping the other 11 ships with Ticonderoga-class cruisers, which each have 122 tomahawks ready to go and two 54-caliber naval guns that can fire 20 rounds in a minute, but I'll keep that to myself.
>The clans will probably see this from orbital recon scans anyway, so whatever.
Battleground location will be some island in the Philippines.
>I let the clanners show up first with their 15 mechs
>Some stealth drones are orbiting at max altitude to paint them
>The cruisers begin shooting guided shells at the mechs. 220 in total are pigeon holed on them within 60 seconds.
>70 f-18s drop 10 JDAMs each. 700 (You) seeking bombs rain down like hail from hell
>We're assuming at least some mechs are dead or damaged at this point
>The cruisers open up with a combined total of 1342 tomahawks
>Even assuming all 15 mechs are Novas with double AMS, standing within 250m of each other and that they're all still alive, that still limits them to a combined missile shoot down rate of 120 per second across their 250m radius.
>Tomahawks move at about 900m/s, which means they will cross 250m in 0.278 seconds.
>The mechs will have shot down 33 tomahawks by the time they hit, meaning 1309 tomahawks found their targets.
>1309/15 = 87 tomahawks per mech. Even if we assume tomahawks have the power of just regular LRMs, that's enough to kill any mechs still alive.
My prize for winning is a star of female elemental soldiers, btw.
