Some bills to support

Call your legislative official and demand either (as applicable)
>they add their name to the co-sponsor
>it come to a vote
and that it be amended to strengthen the prohibitions on "payment card networks"
>but it's mostly sponsored by Republicans
Any explicit anti-corporate censorship bill is good no matter what side is pushing it. I don't know how you can turn "no more politically or reputationally-motivated debanking or deplatforming" into a bad thing.

Another thing; the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau does not "control" credit card companies, at least not in the way bluefags want you to think. The most they can do is handle cases where those companies clearly broke laws, but VISA and Mastercard are fully autonomous private companies and have been implementing these policies on their own for years. It's only suddenly become a major issue because Steam and itch.io got hit and the Bluesky woman/faggot crowd started whining. Patreon, Pixiv/Fanbox, DLSite, Melonbooks, Manga Toshokan Z, FANZA, etc. all got targeted under the Biden admin. This has been an issue for years, but few cared back then because it was mostly just niche Japanese vendors hosting "problematic" content. But now we have actual momentum against this, and now all of a sudden, there are posters coming out of the woodworks telling you not to focus on them or the overall war on private censorship or support anything that might restrict them, but instead direct all your energy towards orange man bad. Hmmmm...
To be clear, I am not saying Project 2025 has been good for this. Nor am I saying you shouldn't oppose government censorship. In fact, you should absolutely throw everything you have at opposing these internet ID laws and obscenity redefinition acts. But do not lose sight of the fact that payment processors have been acting on these policies for years if not decades, they are far from innocent and an answer needs to be put forth for the issue of private censorship wielded by major, dominant companies. Furthermore, do not think the Democrats will do anything about this without prodding by a pointed grassroots movement, they are the staunchest supporters of private censorship and throughout the decade it has been their #1 tool to silence dissidence and suppress content. That is the most important point, the solution is not, never has been "vote other party this time", but targeted pressure towards specific policy changes on whoever is in power.
