It’s like they accuse the nobody of main character syndrome but when he points the way, sits back to see if anyone steps up and chooses the correct paths, very few have even a little.
Then they get mad, or angry at God or the nobody.

He is accused of saying he is perfect or better than everyone else, but he has and continues to deny anything of the sort.
It’s petty jealousy.

He is accused of not being a team player, but no one wants to help unless they can direct and lead.

It’s similar inna way to Jesus. The apostles never until after His death did the one thing they were told to do, even on the Mt. of Transfiguration. LISTEN.

Even when Jesus gave them permission to ask Him about anything they wanted to know, all they could come up with “was when are we going to overthrow the Romans?” And Jesus knowing that would happen hundreds of years later, told them it didn’t concern them.

The Holy Spirit did remind them later of so many things they forgot, and Peter was restored but not without a price.
