PTR-91 I got in 2018. I sold a colt 6920 to my brother to fund getting the PTR. I was convinced I was into BRs and it made the most sense to get because of mag prices, ability to shoot the DAG taining ammo with the UB bolt, and muh hekkin slaperino. Well I took it to the range and it did not get through a single mag and I knew it was something with the bolt because it ran flawlessly with the UB bolt and DAG ammo. The malfunctions were so bad I had to field strip the rigle no less than four times at the range. That was my main issue, but to summarize my other issues: pistol grip had a thumbswell molded into it with dig into the web of my hand (lefty), charging handle is in the absolute worst spot for a lefty, 100m sight is beyond worthless, getting home I learned G3s are the most filty pieces of shit and was awful to clean, bolt is a fucking nightmare to take apart and put back together. I have since sold that and built an Israeli FAL. While its a significant improvement over the PTR I have learned I am just not that into BRs. I also have a Garand in 308 I have never gotten to run right. I honestly need to stop being nostalgic for those two and just sell them off and be rid of BRs finally.

My second regret is every pistol I have bought after my M9. I have learned I am a sucker for the locking block system on the Beretta 92 family. The recoil impulse is so much nicer than on any browning action semi-auto I have ever shot. I spent years trying to find a handgun I really love but I had it from the start. My M9 was my first and honestly I need to just sell off all my other full sized handguns. Only thing I want besides it is a Smiff Bodyguard 2.0 for carry and maybe a Beretta 84..but I have been seeing people in this thread say they are kind shit so now I don't know on that one.
