Thanks. As for how long it took me about 616 matches with Kim. I had other characters I played but none of them I really put a lot of time into so maybe around 70-80 hours with specifically Kimberly.
I think just getting really good at reacting to DI and checking my opponents drive rushes and just being really consistent with anti airing helped me a lot overall.
With Kim specifically someone here posted a video with some very basic frame traps and it helped me a lot to learn how to pressure with her safely. I learned the timing on her throw loop and some mixups on their wakeup and I got better at learning when to go for a mixup and when to fake it to bait out a reversal from the opponent and getting big punishes. I think with Kim specifically it was just about learning how to really move around with her and how to keep her pressure up and building off of momentum I would build and not letting the opponent get a moment to breath. And then being patient about how and when to get in and turn it on when they were keeping me at a distance.
