I think its fun. It's not like its crazy world-toppling quality or anything, it's just a fun and enjoyable read, and its one of the only series that makes me laugh out loud sometimes.
Its just comfortable to read. If I want to read more heavily, I read my victorian-era stuff. I've got a whole list of authors I love shit from, but those aren't wizard-adjacent.
Give Dresdin a try. The first book is slow, but it's like Jojo. The first part's the weakest because it sets everything up after it.
