“Regarding talking, I have two things I want to talk about.” Shaw said and continued. “First I want to thank you personally. I knew Edwin and I had friends amongst the Stonemasons. The fact that you took all the civilians in and tried to help them puts you in the good person category in my eyes.”
“Thank you, and the second?” You asked. Friends with Edwin? Who is this man?
“Second is that professionally I haven't been able to figure out your deals with Lady Prestor and that makes me worried.” Shaw said to you and continued. “Outwardly it just looks like trade. Silver, furs and crafted goods come in, wine, alcohol, fruits and cloth go the other way.”
“There is nothing wrong about trade.” You said.
“No, there’s not. In fact the silver helped to stabilise our coinage, that is actually another thing I need to thank you for.” Shaw said back and continued. “But on the plans I don't know what the two of you are planning, Lady Prestor does an impressive job at keeping everything close to her heart while holding all the strings and I haven't yet figured out how much you are actually in control of your own string.”
Katrana does have her plans and is a quite powerful noblewoman, but is this Shaw implying that you are being used. It does sound like it. And the way he speaks, he is not a spy, but probably a spymaster of some sort.
“In other words, I am warning you. If you are as close to her as I think you are, that is as close as she will let you. Everything is just means to an end.” Shaw said to you. “And based on how you have helped my friends, I wouldn't like to see you lost in her machinations.”
>Everything you do needs to be looked at from two points. Will it help your people and will it help Alterac. Has Katrana done so?
>Has he considered that you are the one pulling Katrana's string and not the other way around.
>The way he spoke to you is disrespectful to both you and Katrana. He should be careful with his words.
>You will thank him for the advice, but you are capable of making your own decisions.
>Ask him to have the spy following you back off.
>Other, write in
