I have no complaints with the jetpacks in Natlan because the design (like those glasses) absolutely fit in with the aesthetic of their respective regions, and in both cases it was only really brought up as a a brief part of the story. Those examples did not look like a modern piece of technology lazily dropped into the game, nor are they thrown in my face every time I try to use a core character.
