The only advantage is that it allows non-destructive reverse modification of workflow, meaning you can take an output and refine it without genning from scratch. This is of course a mostly useless advantage since you can do the same with far less effort by just genning from scratch.
Comfy is inferior because it overexposes the logic of SD. It makes decisions that are normally esoteric guided and granular which tends to involve yet more user input for incremental changes. Experimentation is magnitudes less intuitive.

The only application where comfy makes sense is if you are making huge batches (100s of images or more) with the ability to reverse specific settings in them collectively, e.g. a professional production pipeline.
