They really shoul've just given us twice the AP and ditch kits entirely.
Should've also factored in damage taken into the grade a lot more for people who manage to get by losing less than half their AP.
Would've made PvP a lot more engaging since fights take longer reducing the value in rushing down your opponent and actually having ammunition matter as a factor.

Basically visual storytelling. The PCA probably had the original MT in the center designed first and then kept adding to it until it reached it's current state. The way a lot of the parts are connected via joints kinda suggests a modular setup similar to ACs.
