Seven Sirens was the first game I played, and I got this feeling too. I got the feeling that the game would have benefited greatly from some more development time, just to refine stuff. The map was samey and unremarkable, the dancing powers were awkwardly implemented, the cards were fun but had way too many duds and dubious additions, etc.

I loved the game overall, but it felt like it couldn't decide what its primary focus was - gameplay-driven experience with a cute fluff story on top, or a narrative with some gameplay.
