theres definitely still money on the table here for whoever rips off defender and does it good. that game is still fun to play. and there still isnt anything really like it, to my knowledge. it was known as THE quarter-muncher, and everyone STILL wanted to play it. back in the day their surveys showed avg game lasted under a minute then that one autist shows up and effortlessly plays for 3hrs and everyone watches in silent disbelief loll

basically: someone should rip off defender/stargate on hardware thats not from the late 70s just make sure the controls are FUCKED. thats actually important. trust me
theres something interesting about the fact that the goal isnt necessarily to blow everything up. you have to choose between more pts (saving humanoids) and just killing everything because you cant save it all, and cant stop the mutant hordes from letting the humanoids get captured
