Todays mythical creature is: the Kelpie.

The kelpie is a water horse in scottish and celtic tradition, sort of like the loch ness monster except they live in rivers. Also they howl and wail during storms. They typically look like like horses but can shapeshift into humans as a shaggy man, and in this form they literally spook people to death by grabbing them from behind. They also kill people for no reason in horse form by tricking them into getting on their back, then they ride into the water and drag them in, while slapping the water in a way that sounds like thunder. Also sometimes they rip people to pieces and eat them. Ummm based?

Anyways if you want to capture one and use it as a slave, you just have to put a bridle on it and it will obey you like a normal horse. There was a guy who did this and forced the kelpie to build his castle, which worked but the kelpie cursed him "sad back and sad bones driving the Laird o' Morphie's stones, the Laird of morphie will never thrive so long as the kelpies alive!"

And from then on the morphie bloodline was totally fucked until they died out. So if you decide to enslave a kelpie for christs sake do not do anything useful with it because u will be cursed probably
