So for reference this dude did a test on the best shot size for taking out drones. He tested it against plastic, carbon fiber, aluminum and then for shits and giggles steel.

Pretty much any shot will handle plastic, you need #4 shot (not #4 buckshot) or larger for carbon fiber and 00 Buckshot will go through aluminum and 000 Buckshot got through steel.

I mean practically speaking its not that different from a semi auto shotgun. #4 Buck is pretty close to being a 22 and you get 27 of them in one shotgun shell. So if I unloaded 8+1 shots out of a Beretta 1301 it would be 243 pieces of shot.

The full auto would be pretty intimidating though.
