Avid Rock Band player here.
RB has been a live service for god knows how long, (almost 20 years?) with only like 60 starter songs, the model has been dying because people never tuned for weekly newer songs.
Now imagine how RB core players feel for paying double and for popslop?
And how casual players feel for not having rewarding them for tuning in weekly?
Festival is dying for a few reasons:
>No songs that people care either core or casual players
>High prices
>No weekly exclusive rewards
>Free alternatives
>Other game stuff like instruments as pickaxes and jam tracks as emotes not selling despite having them being improved
Ranked progression could also help a little, even Rocket Racists have both despite no one liking rocket racing.
Customizing instruments with sprays and emojis could also help, and Jam loops to pick certain parts of the songs not only the choruses
