Darkness doesn't need anything else. He is the incorporeal darkness that predates the first conjunction and just wants the world to be quieter so he can sleep. He doesn't have any powers, because he existed before powers were a thing. Since he's been ignoring the world since it began he knows nothing and doesn't know how to do anything either. But he's great at convincing mortals he knows things about things and that they should do things for him to get a reward. He never gives them a reward, but rewards have a way of luckily finding their way there anyways. It's a good living.

He replaces the normal Man in the Mirror, by the way.
