That's your opinion and it's wrong. It was fun to explore, you always felt like you were down IN the world and not trekking across a featureless flat battle arena to get to the next obvious hallway loading area to get to the next flat featureless battle area. My favorite part of the world design is that they clearly cared about the vistas, they put effort into what you were able to see from where you were on the map so that it was always interesting and at times awe inspiring.

Frankly I'm happy they weren't bound by the constraints of realism and made an actual video game map that looks beautiful and not some flat shit with twig trees.
