You're wrong. The New Democrats coalition are the heart and soul of the party. The Clintonite faction might be unpopular, but they ARE the Democrats at the end of the day. Corporatist Democrats simply use these fake progressives like AOC and Bernie Sanders to trick the base into thinking that they one day could get someone like with policies like that. Hillary Clinton said it best though: universal Single Payer style Medicare For All health care will never happen. She's right.

The elite political class have a stranglehold on the party. Democrats will split off into different parties before they let the AOC faction take over.
More to the point, AOC is controlled opposition within the party. She always has been. She was recruited in college as a CIA intern by way of one of their many college student programs.
AOC is to the Democrat Party what RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard are to the MAGA Republicans; she's the bait and switch figure.
