Normalfags who were excited for Wilds ended up playing it and even they couldn't hide their displeasure for it, probably. The game looks ugly and people casually playing the game realized the endgame MH grind isn't for them. Keep in mind that the performance of the game is also terrible which keeps people away on top of that.
I really couldn't even tell you who the people are still playing Wilds at this point. Probably long term MH fans that can't let go or people with friend groups that like playing it still. It's just interesting looking at how dull, bland, and ugly Wilds looks and then comparing it to Stories 3 which is a refreshing color blast of nice visuals. Stories 3 is also on RE Engine so I have no idea why they made Wilds so fucking hard to look at.
