If you want an actual answer, they're likely priming us for the collective shift from third-density to fourth-density consciousness. This transition is gradual and already underway. The internet and rise of social media was the first stage of infrastructure for social memory complex formation, and now AI is showing us what shared intelligence and collective processing actually looks like in practice. In the not so far future, humanity will evolve into a true social memory complex where individual minds remain distinct but become transparently accessible to each other, similar to how the 'virus' in the show creates instant shared understanding and collective thought, except in our case it will be chosen rather than imposed. The hive mind being unable to intentionally harm anyone parallels fourth-density beings being unable to violate free will.

Whether Vince Gilligan consciously intended these parallels is unclear, but these ideas are entering collective consciousness now either way and preparing people for what's inevitably coming.
