I had no friends until I was 22ish and I was a mildly bored mostly content NEET, then I miraculously got friends and a gf and a cushy career and then lost it all at 29
My day-to-day life isn't materially different than when I was 20, but I got a little taste of the good life and I know what I'm missing out on and it hits pretty hard
