For me, 2016. I was a leftist that didn't want Trump elected but hated Hillary. My buddies were all feelin' the Bern (I cringe now). Once Trump got elected I was like "oh well, at least it's not Hillary". I browsed 4chan a little just because I knew /pol/ was a thing. I'd been on funnyjunk and seen 4chan content cycled around for about 5 years at that point.

Then the Kavanaugh hearings happened. I was dumbstruck by what they did to try and prevent his appointment. Then I saw JQ content on 4chan and everything started making sense. Today I have a 1930s copy of Mein Kampf on the shelf behind me.
