I think the standards of behavior and high culture of the Victorian era exemplifies what it means to be civilized. With the decline in average intelligence we are seeing that these standards are no longer attainable. People are not intelligent enough to meet them. Traditionalism today cannot be anything ideological because those who lack the genes to live these traditions will be like an ape performing the outward appearance of these traditions. It requires those of high intelligence and patrician soul to learn to live in the traditional way again unimpeded by the rot of the world around them.
