>it just makes it harder
>harder
Again, it's not depression if they look for help.
>I don't recall anything there saying that.
From the DSM 5:
Letter A point 1
>Depressed mood most of the day, nearly every day, as indicated by either subjective report (e.g., feels sad, empty, hopeless)
Letter B
>The symptoms cause clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning.
>how exactly my view on depression is "fembrain"
Also from the DSM 5
>Women tend to experience more disturbances in appetite and sleep, including atypical features such as hyperphagia and hypersomnia, and are more likely to experience interpersonal sensitivity and gastrointestinal symptoms. Men with depression, however, may be more likely than depressed women to report greater frequencies and intensities of maladaptive self-coping and problem-solving strategies, including alcohol or other drug misuse, risk taking, and poor impulse control.
Depression for women is an excuse to whine (interpersonal sensitivity) and eat more (hyperphagia).
But how on God's green Earth is that supposed to cause "clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning"?
That's obviously not real depression. That's just laziness.
>and the people in my personal life.
That's amazing. I would never wish depression even on my worst enemy.
Keep them close to yourself.
Just know that "real" depression causes issues with the people around you too. It's an ugly condition, anon.
You didn't have anything severe enough to understand just how bad it gets, and you probably never will, and that's great.
>I'm not the one throwing aggressive insults instead of trying to genuinely understand and hear your viewpoint here.
My bad, I thought you were saying I was a chud who didn't engage in discussing.
I'm too used to ftms ganging up on me, so your "support" was pretty unexpected. Thanks btw.
