Kyiv attack cannot go unpunished, says Germany

Russia's overnight attacks on Kyiv "cannot remain without consequences", Germany has warned.

At least 15 people - including a two-year-old - were killed in the assault on the capital, according to officials.

An EU delegation building and the British Council centre were also damaged during the offensive.

Germany's foreign minister condemned that attack.

"Last night we once again experienced in a terrible way how Russia attacked and bombed Kyiv, civilians died, children died, and the European Union delegation was also attacked," Johann Wadephul told reporters.

"And that cannot remain without consequences."

Wadephul wouldn't elaborate, only adding Germany wanted to show it is considering a further response and any action would be taken jointly by the EU.
