I remember reading in the early 2010s that he didn’t want to be a pretty boy anymore and wanted a manlier face so it’s obvious that even in OP’s 2017 pic he’d already started with the plastic surgery. I can kind of understand because a 1970s tv star called David Cassidy never really had much of a career after his successful show (The Partridge Family) ended, because of his boyish good looks
